Everything Is Connected

During my formative years, I was immersed in fundamentalist Christianity. Like many religions, the focus was on the intrinsic separation between God and humanity. Sure, God created reality, but as soon as human beings entered the picture, a schism erupted between God and creation.

Although I tried to grasp this concept, I could never reconcile the paradox of a benevolent Creative-Force designing something, all the while intending to sever its relationship with the very thing it created. As I watched those around me beg “God” to reconnect with their life—to intervene in their existence—I became ever more disillusioned by the notion of an autocratic, authoritarian God. It made no sense, and it did not correspond to the world I saw around me.

I asked myself, “What if the notion of God advanced by Christianity and many other religions is wrong? If I wipe the slate clean and conceptualize a unifying Creative-Force that jives with both my observations and with science, what would it look like?” These questions drove me to investigate the existence of an interconnected Field of Energy that binds all of reality.

Everything Is Connected

That life emerged on this planet from the same materials that make up the most distant star is only the first chapter in the astounding story of our interconnected universe. We now understand that our material universe originated from a cosmic singularity that emerged from an unseen dimension. From that moment on, the creative force behind this event continued to evolve in complexity. From a sea of subatomic particles . . . to star systems . . . to simple life forms . . . to human beings, this originating force is the common denominator that binds all of creation.

In literature, this sea of Intelligent Energy is referred to by many names: the Etheric Field, Source-Energy, Core-Energy, Spiritual-Energy, the Astral Field, the Akashic Field, the Universal Energy Field, and even God—to name a few. The label for this force does not matter. It is only important to recognize there is an energetic presence that binds all of reality and to learn how to interact with this force.

Science Supports the Existence of the Field

The latest science points to the location of this Field of Energy as being in a dimension other than the one that occupies our five senses. Using our most sensitive technology, physicists can detect matter forming, out of “nowhere,” and then just as mysteriously dematerializing back into a realm for which they cannot provide a rational explanation. Albert Einstein postulated that matter originates from a conversion of energy, and that energy can neither be created nor destroyed.  Therefore, the manifestation of matter from nothing, or out of nowhere, presents a major ongoing problem for modern science.

We can observe the manifestation of energy coming from this enigmatic Field, but we have no scientific explanation for its occurrence. To complicate things, this Field possesses all the hallmark characteristics of an intelligent “God-Force.” From observing the growth of distant star systems to pondering the improbable miracle of life here on Earth, it is obvious there is a force driving matter toward ever-increasing levels of intricacy. From a scientific perspective, matter continuing to gain in complexity violates the basic scientific concept of entropy, which states that, over time, energy disburses and dissolves into chaos. The only way to avoid entropy in a closed system is to feed energy from an outside source into the system. If you consider that our universe is a giant closed system, then some kind of outside force is necessary to create what we see around us. In fact, from the very beginning, our universe has defied the notion of entropy. It has emerged from a dark soup of subatomic particles to evolving intelligent life!

There is no getting around the evidence that we are immersed in a field of directed energy that is omnipresent, omniscient, and creative. The more technologically sophisticated our experimental techniques become, the more we face the unflinching reality that everything in our material universe (ourselves included) is crafted from an immersive, interactive matrix of intelligent design.

Ancient Wisdom Foretold the Existence of Creative-Energy

This notion of a multidimensional, creative Field is far from novel. From the beginning of recorded history, ancient wisdom has espoused that with which modern science now grapples. Everything we experience with our five senses spawned from somewhere other than this material realm.

Religions often address this notion by envisioning realms of heaven and hell that serve as a repository for the pervasive Creative-Force. Irrespective of what deity or deities occupy these hidden dimensions, the message that matter originates from a vehicle of intelligent design, beyond our three-dimensional existence, remains the same.

Also pervasive within many shamanic and mystical traditions is the idea of interconnectedness. From this perspective, each of us is a material projection of an interconnected blanket of Intelligent Energy that some refer to as “God.” Everything is related to everything else.

We are entering a truly exciting time that sees both science and ancient wisdom coming to an agreement that there is, indeed, a Field of Energy beyond our material realm that is responsible for existence. This Field is the true birthplace of our material universe, and the force that drives the existence of every particle in every moment. It is the source of energy that connects all reality.
